Influentialism Art Movement is Creativity **** I AM = Creativity **** I AM Creativity.
I AM is concerned with two aspects of the influentialism theory: “the small hold the large” and “creativity”.
The small hold the large: the concept that everything in the universe is made up of smaller things. This leads to the notion that nothing is 100% new, because all objects (creations) are born out of smaller objects which themselves are born out of even smaller objects etc. This also means that all objects are therefore connected to each other in some way. (The smaller objects hold the larger objects).
Creativity: the ability to combine objects into new objects.
We cannot reach our full creative capacityif we’re not “CREATIVITY SELF AWARE”.
Creativity Self Awareness or CSA: a state where one feels connected to all that can create and all that is created. One reaches this state by a sudden combining of all conscious and unconscious mental states; rational, spiritual, logical, emotional, dreams etc. into an overwhelming awareness of duality: ones ability to combine objects into new objects and ones disability to disconnect new objects from older objects.
To become CSA means to feel an intense bonding with the whole universe.
The primal focus of an influentialist is to become CSA.
Some influentialists create art to become CSA and some experience art to become CSA; but all must understand and believe in the concept of “the small hold the large”. This is very important if an influentialist is to achieve CSA. Creating or experiencing art is important, but not enough.
The large is what is obvious or visible. The small is what is hidden. By studying the small we can better understand the large. So, to understand the visible or obvious world we need to analyse the invisible or not so obvious world.
Most people understand the large by focusing on the large; this leads to superficial knowledge. Influentialists understand the large by focusing on the small; this leads to deep knowledge.
there are two important reasons why we focus on the small:
1) It will help us in our journey to achieve CSA
2) It will help us in our understanding of the large
A great idea cannot be greater then all the systems that work together to produce it: brain is love.
An influentialistic art piece portrays chaos in a balanced way.
In an influentialistic art piece, chaos, is portrayed by the small (individual objects) while balance is portrayed by the large (groups of objects). So by using the formula “the small hold the large”, we can say: “chaos holds balance”.
Influentialists need to be in control when creating an art piece in order to turn chaos into balance.
Once CSA has been achieved by an influentialist, art serves as an addictive drug to constantly relive the moment of realization.
Influta: an influta is an element (object) that changes our perception of an art piece (light, mood, colours, structure, shape, angle etc.)
Influtas influence what it is we see when we look at an influentialistic art piece.
Object: for the “I AM” that creates influentialistic art pieces (paintings, sculptures, poems, literature, music, buildings, etc.) an object is a physical or abstract entity which exists within an art piece and can be combined by our sensation and/or intellect with other objects in that art piece, to create a new object.
Even though influtas and objects can mean the same thing in an influentialistic art piece, objects are those elements in the painting described by the artist as being the art piece while influtas are those external elements that changes our perception of the art piece.
Lines: the lines in an influentialistic art piece represent TIME and SPACE. So objects exist within the boundaries of time and space.
The Universe we are a part of also consists of “lines” and “objects”. For this reason an influentialist feels very much connected to the Universe when creating an art piece.
Whenever creation happens, the energy of creativity is present.
Creativity is not a human invention;it was there before and it will be there after.
Creativity is not connected to intelligence; it is connected to existence.
To become CSA means to create because you need to; not because you want to.
Influentialists capture the nature of creativity itself in their art pieces.
An influentialist must think before every creation: “my pursuit to become CSA must give others the opportunity to pursue their own CSA”.
An art piece becomes influentialistic when both concepts: “the small hold the large” and “creativity”, are present within the art piece in a physical and/or abstract form. So an art piece that contains only the concept of “the small hold the large” is not influentialistic because the smaller objects in the art piece usually combine with each other to form one larger object (image/idea). What the art piece needs to do is provide a physical or abstract framework wherein an observer can continuously combine objects into new objects. That is when the concept or nature of creativity is stored or “locked in” within the art piece. By doing so, influentialists give their art pieces minds of their own. An influentialistic art piece doesn’t just showcase the artist’s creativity, it has a brain; it thinks; and like a predator it preys on casual observers who just happen to walk by; luring them in, keeping them in a strangled hold while bombarding their senses with new impressions. Some try to escape and succeed; but those who don’t are left with the question, “what if... I, become a creator myself”? This is where their journey starts, their journey to become CSA.
